Bulldog

Bulldogs are distinctive. Low-swinging, heavyset, big head, unique scowl. Before 1800, English bulldogs were used for bullbaiting. Back then, bulldogs were aggressive, not lazy. Breeders wanted a friendly family pet, not a fighter

French Bulldog

English bulldogs bred the French bulldog. Mid-1800s, English emigrants brought toy-sized bulldogs to France. In France, small bulldogs were mixed with pugs & small terriers to create the French bulldog we recognize today.

American Bulldog

Larger and more towering than other dogs, bulldogs were a distinct breed. In the New World, bulldogs served several purposes, such as guard dogs, herders, livestock catchers, and even hunters of feral pigs. 

The American Bulldog originated from the white English Southern Bulldog. An American Bulldog is a devoted pet that is wonderful among children.

Olde English bulldogge recreates the bulldog before it became stocky and roach-backed. Olde English bulldogge resembled bull-baiting dogs. Olde English bulldogge is nimble and friendly. Popularity:

Dogue de Bordeaux

Dogue de Bordeaux was formerly named Bordeaux mastiff or Bordeaux Bulldog. The Dogue de Bordeaux was a fighting and battle dog before becoming a guard dog for French estates.

Dogue de Bordeaux drove animals post-Revolution. Today's Bordeaux dog is protective. Dogue de Bordeaux is standoffish with family. Due of its size and strength, children shouldn't ride the Bordeaux alone.
