The Chihuahua's defining Traits
The little but confident Chihuahua enjoys attention. Despite its delicate appearance, the breed is bold. It has huge eyes and ears for its small head and body.
Chihuahua owners are fans for life. Chihuahuas make up for their stature with big personalities. 12 to 20 years, they come in solid or two-color combinations. Common colours are black, red
Chihuahua Care-
Affectionate and attention-seeking, the Chihuahua loves being handled and pampered. If raised and handled properly, the Chihuahua may be an excellent family pet.
Training
Sassy Chihuahuas need socialising and obedience training. Without proper socialisation, the breed might grow scared and defensive towards strangers.
Exercise
Chihuahuas have moderate to high energy and may develop behavioural issues without enough exercise. Mental and physical health are maintained through activity & stimulus.
Grooming
Short-haired Chihuahuas are low-maintenance. Long-haired Chihuahuas need additional brushing. Cut Chihuahua nails to prevent overgrowth and discomfort.
Healthy Food & Sufficient Nutrition
Chihuahuas only need 1/4 to 1/2 cup of dry food per day. Obesity can shorten a dog's life, so watch its weight. If your pet is sick or gaining weight, consult your vet about a diet.
Small jaws require daily grooming for Chihuahuas. Plaque can be reduced with dental chews and a chewy diet. Dry Chihuahua food should be big and dense.
Health Care
Chihuahuas don't enjoy the cold. Cold weather may require a dog sweater. Your dog will seek for warm locations in your home, such the heat, sun, or a blanket.
